According to an analysis by the Bundesverband Energiespeicher Systeme eV (BVES), revenues for the German energy storage industry will rise sharply in 2025, after a downturn last year, although the industry association says uncertainty in the sector is increasing.

Sales in the energy storage sector rose 31% year on year to €15.2 billion ($17.8 billion) in 2025, almost returning to 2023 levels, according to market analysis presented by BVES on Friday.

The association expects further growth this year, with sector turnover estimated at between €16 billion and €19 billion.
