At a company event last week, Hithium premiered three new products: a 6.25 MWh BESS, a sodium-ion battery for utilities, and a home microgrid system.

The ∞Power 6.25 MWh BESS is supplied in a two- or four-hour setup. In the two-hour scenario the battery cell is 587 Ah, while the four-hour BESS scenario uses 1,175 Ah. The BESS is supplied in the same standard 20-ft container as previous designs.

Hithium will decouple the system components from the battery modules, including power, thermal management, control, fire safety and output – something it calls loose coupling. Global delivery of ∞Power 6.25 MWh 2h/4h BESS will start in the second quarter of 2025.

Hithium believes that the sodium-ion battery industry has not yet identified large-scale scenarios and has unveiled ∞Cell N162Ah, a specialized sodium-ion battery for utility-scale energy storage. This product focuses on a polyanionic cathode combined with a hard carbon anode, incorporating advanced materials such as homogeneous coatings with high conductivity, a hard carbon anode and a weak-bonding electrolyte formula. It achieves a lifespan of more than 20,000 cycles and operates in a wide temperature range, with high capacities, high return efficiency and a state of health (SOH) of 70%. The ∞Cell N162Ah is now available for global sampling, with mass production of GWh planned for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Hithium also launched HeroES, the first installation-free microgrid system for the home. Consisting of the smart storage module (Storage Series) and the smart control module (SynergyBox), HeroES is tailored for home energy storage scenarios, with open-shelf modularization features. The initial installation takes just 30 minutes, the company claims.

In addition, HeroES is equipped with Hithium’s original intelligent algorithm, which can achieve self-evolution in energy management and improve home energy efficiency by 10%. Additionally, HeroES has a robust home microgrid capability. Various specifications of intelligent storage modules can be combined wirelessly and scalably to realize plug-and-play. Global shipments of HeroES are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025.
