Construction is now underway in Lincoln County, Nevada, where Bechtel has been selected by Estuary Power to design and build a new 226 MWdirect current solar project.

The Escape Solar project will consist of approximately 389,000 double-sided PV panels spread across 900 acres to produce clean energy for four major energy customers in the region, including MGM Resorts International, Overton Power District, Caesars Entertainment and Wynn Las Vegas.

“Bechtel is excited to join an incredible team that will deliver clean energy to Estuary customers in southern Nevada,” said Kelley Brown, Operations Manager of Bechtel’s Renewables & Clean Power division. “Our commitment to our clients, Estuary and Ullico, with whom we have worked closely for twenty years, is to leverage our best talent and industry-leading digital processes to deliver fast and effective results. We look forward to building a facility that will generate renewable energy for decades to come and contribute to Nevada’s successful history in renewable energy generation.”

“Estuary is excited to partner with Bechtel on the Escape Solar project,” said Jill Daniel, founder and CEO of Estuary Power. “We chose Bechtel to design and build Escape because of our long, trusted relationship and Bechtel’s heritage of designing and building the world’s toughest projects with excellence and professionalism. In a challenging sector, we are confident that Bechtel will realize Escape for our customers.”

Bechtel will design and deliver the solar portion of the PV installation project, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project management. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
