Norwich Technologies, Solaris Energy and Bridge Renewable Energy have completed a 700 kWAC Solar project in Winthrop, Maine. The project was created and permitted by demolished renewable energy sources, the development division of Norwich Technologies, with early financing by Solaris Energy. Norwich Solar, a division of Norwich Technologies, completed the EPC work. Bridge Renewable Energy will be the owner of the project in the long term.

This is the first of the four projects on which these companies work together.

“Renewable energy projects offer a multitude of benefits for the region; More than just clean energy, “says Jim Merriam CEO of Norwich Technologies. “It is our mission to create projects that have a net positive impact for several stakeholders; From the communities that organize the projects, to our building contractors, to our financial partners and to the end users – the Energy customers. “

Thanks to the Net Energy Billing Program, renewable energy projects offer affordable, renewable energy for small companies in Maine, which saves customers up to 15% on their electricity account without prior costs.

According to Kevin Davis, VP of Sales and Marketing for Norwich Technologies, “The Credits for Energy Million of this project in Winthrop will go to a portfolio of high -quality, affordable apartments managed by the Szanton Company. Saving on their operating costs via Solar Energy helps the Szanton company to keep the rental prices reasonable for their tenants, something that is desperately needed because rates for homes from the reach of many continue to climb. “

“Solaris is proud to be part of the production of this Greenfield Development project, so that previously borders unused country on a farm in a clean energy source that offers energy saving to people in the surrounding community,” said Solaris Energy’s CEO and co-owner Nick Perugini. “This project means the clear potential for solar projects to be a win-win-win, because we try to increase the production of clean energy to meet the rising electricity demand throughout the country in 2025 and then.”

“Bridge Renewable Energy is pleased to deepen our partnership with Solaris and to enter the Maine market,” said Kevin Donlin, director of investments at Bridge Renewable Energy (BRE). “The Net Energy Billing program offers essential savings to small companies in the entire state and we are proud to play a crucial role. As we grow our presence in Maine, BREs aims to develop and operate critical infrastructure for renewable energy that will strengthen the economy of the state. “

The project is built from 1,053 on ground mounted solar panels that are on the ground that give the net to the grid via Central Maine Power Company and serves the Net Energy Billing program from Maine. The Array is located on unused former agricultural land next to an egg farm.
