India’s Solex Energy has announced the commissioning of a production line of 800 MW solar module. The new line is tailored to the mass production of N-type, rectangular cell tapi-r series modules ranging from 585 W to 625 W.

Solex Energy, based in Gujarat, said the line works 30% faster than other production lines in India, which ensures greater output efficiency and lower lead times.

It added that the new facility contains the largest room laminators in India, an innovation that increases the production of module by making higher laminations possible per cycle and at the same time guaranteeing strict quality standards.

Solex Tapi-R series Modules are equipped with 132 half-squeezed cells based on 182.2 mm x 210 mm waffles, which deliver up to 625 Wp power with 23.14% module efficiency.

Solex Energy expands its production as part of its Vision 2030 strategy, with plans for a production facility of 2 GW cell, scalable to 5 GW, and a capacity increase from 1.5 GW to 15 GW.
