Argentina installs 307 MW Solar in 2024 – PV Magazine International

Argentina installed 307 MW Zonne-Zon in 2024, so that the total PV capacity was brought to 1.67 GW at the end of the year, according to the operator of the Cammesa energy market.

Argentina installed 307 MW new PV capacity in 2024, according to the last monthly report from energy market operator Cammesa.

The total installed PV capacity of the country reached 1,673 MW at the end of December 2024.

Distributed generation added 28 MW last year, which brought the total to 58.9 MW of 2,290-generating units, with the commercial-industrial segment accounting for 78.1%, according to the Ministry of Energy.

The total installed capacity of Argentina is 43,351 MW, with thermal power being 58% and renewable energy sources, including Hydro, good for 38%.

The Argentinian Northwest-Noa Leads in installed solar capacity with 850 MW (19%), followed by Cuyo (565 MW, 24%), the Argentinian Northeastern (130 MW), Centro (118 MW, 3%) and Comahue (10 Mrs.).
