Maldives tenders up to 150 MW Zonne -Zon – PV Magazine International

The Ministry of Finance and Planning of the Maldives is looking for a developer for the installation of a solar project from 100 MW to 150 MW. The deadline for expressions of interest is 27 February.

The Ministry of Finance and Planning of the Maldives has started a tender for the installation of a large -scale solar project.

According to the tender notificationThe project comprises 100 MW to 150 MW of the solar and battery energy storage to balance the solar question and offer in the grid.

It will be built in the Greater Malé of the Archipel and Developed under a design, build, finance, possessing, operating and transfer base.

Interested applicants can contact the Ministry by post for any clarifications with regard to the project until 20 February. Expressions of interest must be received by post before 27 February.

The Maldives had 37 MW cumulative solar capacity at the end of 2023, according to figures from the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena).
