The thickness of the solar cells room has prevented their production with the help of terrestrial methods. So far design a thin cell that is resistant to radiation, temperature fluctuations and the extremes of a job was impossible.

CEO of extraterrestrial Peter Toth said that the company strictly to bring Rigor into space to the mass-produced method that is normally used to make terrestrial solar cells, with the support of the Moon Supply Chain program of the Australian Space Agency.

“We focus primarily on the use of the large investments in terrestrial solar sun and this has enormous value for space,” Toth said. “It is important that we only use technologies that make the production of a high transit possible, which makes satellites manufactured in large volumes needed for low earthbit (Leo) constellations.”

Extrerrestrial Power demonstrated its solar cells on board Caltech’s space-based solar energy experiment in 2023, which made history by sending wireless power into space and first shining to the earth.
