The ICIMOD invites bidders to apply for the delivery and installation of two solar energy-driven lift silence pilot systems Bhutan. The systems will be built near the villages of Humpatang and Temakha, in the Punakha district, Noordoost -Bhutan.

The tender includes the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of the pilot systems, as well as training and support for the local community. The Tender details Get descriptions, technical specifications and reference drawings from both sites.

The work is part of ICIMOD’s Empowerment of Women through renewable energy -driven decentralized elevator system systems in Bhutan Project, funded by Canada’s International Development Research Center and jointly implemented by Bhutan’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

The project is intended to collect evidence about the potential of renewable elevator system systems in an attempt to support their wider acceptance, while employment is created for women. To adjust this goal, the selected developer will train women in the local communities to become service providers and business development managers of the pilot systems.

International bidders must submit their proposals against ICIMOD before March 21, 2025.
