Edilians, a French supplier of Clay Roofing and Solar Tiles, launched a new mounting system for residential PV panels on the Beeritive Trade Show in Lyon, France this week.

The simple roof integration system installs like traditional tiles using an overlapping and interlocking design that the need for seals, cuts, ethylene propylene -that terpolymer (EPDM) or plastic penetration eliminates, the company said, the company said. It separates the clamping and watertightness processes to improve the sustainability of the installation.

Designed for roofers that expand to photovoltaic and installers who offer building -integrated PV (BIPV) systems, it works with pitched roofs from 10 degrees to 50 degrees and supports modules up to 2 meters long.

The kits are only available or as part of a complete system with a 400 W completely black PV module. The company is planning to offer a 500 W-module option, together with a red sand-colored module that is in line with guidelines of the architects of buildings of France (ABF) but about 20% less efficient, Emilie Domange of Edilians Marketing Manager Emilie Domange told PV Magazine France.

The scientific and technical center of France for Building (CSTB) has approved the system for clay and slate tiles. By 2026, Edilians expects to secure a technical experimental assessment (ATEX) for highly curved tiles.

Edilians, located in Arras, Hauts-de-France, also supplies sun tiles.
