Solar landscape has confirmed 14 new community projects in Maryland, for a total capacity of 6.6 MW.

The new installations are the first of the 57 projects of Solar Landscape in Maryland, all organized on commercial roofs, so that it has been developed the largest group of community projects developed by a single company in Maryland. Once surprised, they will offer 55 MW collectiveDC From solar capacity.

“Community Solar Projects such as we have ratified, create jobs, reduce energy costs and help Maryland help with its energy needs,” said Solar Landscape CEO and co-founder Shaun Keegan. “Placing large solar installations on commercial roofs is a smart, kick-ready energy solution that also pays dividends to owners of buildings.”

The new energetic projects are in Baltimore (five projects), Gaithersburg (two), Bel Air, Bethesda, Burtonsville, Dundalk, Owings Mills, Westminster and Woodlawn. The projects were interconnected by Baltimore Gas & Electric Company (BGE) and Pepco.

As part of its community zone projects in Maryland, Solar Landscape supports the nationally recognized non-profit for personnel development Ramp. Together with Woodland Job Corps in Laurel, Maryland, Step-Up organized a three-day hands-on solar installation training in 2023 and planned to organize another session in Maryland later this year.
