Solarpower Europe has removed the Chinese Tech giant Huawei as a member, and is the first time that the Solar Industry Association, established in Brussels has taken such an action, has told a SPE spokesperson PV -Magazine. The board took the decision on April 28, 2025 and “the procedure will be continued as laid down in our articles of association,” said the spokesperson.

Huawei has refused to comment on the issue. The relocation follows the recent decision of the European Commission to reduce contact with trade associations representing the interests of Huawei, referring to a continuous investigation into corruption.

“The decision comes in the context of the European Commission’s decision to limit meetings with associations that Huawei have in their membership,” said the SPE spokesperson in an e -mail.

The Chinese PV -Omsorer supplier has previously denied misconduct, entry that it “retains a zero tolerance approach to bribery and corruption.” Various other EU industrial groups, including DigitalEurope and business European, have also moved in recent weeks to suspend Huawei, according to Politics.
