In Bengaluru-based POM systems & services said the POM hybrid inverters launched with electricity classifications of 3 kW, 5 kW and 10 kW. The inverters combine the functions of a traditional solar converter and a battery stirer in a single device.

The pom -hybrid inverter converts DC electricity from PV panels to AC for household use and manages bidirectional power transfer to and to a lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery storage system.

The system allows excess solar energy to charge the battery and export excess electricity to the grid. If the generation of solar energy is insufficient, the inverter pulls power out of the grid to charge the battery. Equipped with Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPT), the inverter optimizes the output of the solar energy by adjusting the voltage for efficient battery charging under different conditions.

The models of 5 kW and 10 kW support a parallel operation of a maximum of eight units to increase the capacity of the tax handling.

The peak-dc-to-AC conversion efficiency is 94% for the 3 kW model and 98% for the 5 kW and 10 kW versions. The maximum PV gang voltage is 500 V DC. The MPPT voltage tracking range is 120 V to 500 V DC for the 3 kW and 5 kW models, and 90 V to 500 V DC for the 10 kW unit.

Other important characteristics include an automatic restarting function for lithium batteries, adjustable PV and tools of charging voltages to meet different battery requirements, battery protection with a fuse and operation without battery if necessary.

The inverters of 3 kW and 5 kW each measure 490 mm x 312 mm x 125 mm, while the 10 kW model 571 mm x 571 mm x 148 mm measures.
