Helieen has opened a 500 MW solar module production line in Rogers, Minnesota, which brings the total American capacity to 1.3 GW. The facility has been operational since April.
Heliene celebrated the major opening of the new solar module production facility in Rogers, Minnesota, which brings the American production capacity of the company to 1.3 GW per year.
The new facility houses Minnesota Line 3, the third American production line in Heliene, which became operational in April and has an annual capacity of 500 MW. Heliene also possesses and operates 300 MW Minnesota Line 1 and 500 MW Minnesota Line 2 in its facility in Mountain Iron, Minnesota.
“Helien experiences constant demand for our high-quality, high-quality PV modules for solar energy,” said Martin Pochtaruk, CEO of Heliene. “By almost double our production capacity from our new Rogers, Minnesota, Facility, we can continue to offer the best in-class Fully domestic content products and service to our customers, while we move our wider goal to move American solar-supply chains, by generally produced, cells, polymers and other criticisms.”
Helieen said in a statement that it produces bifacial, very efficient crystalline solar modules with “the highest possible percentage of domestic content that is available on the market.” The company has protected a number of strategic partnerships with manufacturers of domestic solar module components, such as the deal that made with Suniva and Corning, which can contain helieic modules 66% domestic content.
The most important provisions for the American solar industry in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022 are the production of clean energy and production tax, together with the domestic content bonus. For projects that meet Domestic content Requirements, developers can combine the three credits to cover no less than 50% of the installed system costs.
The Rogers facility intends to rent 220 new employees to support activities, maintenance and engineering at the new facility. To support this, Helieene received $ 2.3 million in financing the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (deed), with specific financing of the Minnesota Investment Fund (MIF), Minnesota Job Creation Fund (MJF) and the Minnesota Job SPP).

“The opening of this new factory means that high-quality solar panels in Rogers are produced to meet the increasing demand for energy in our state and throughout the land and it will create hundreds of new jobs for the region,” said US Senator Amy Klobuchar. “I am committed to work together to strengthen our production economy, increase affordable clean energy and bring the jobs of the future to Minnesota.”
