SL Rack has launched SL Planner, a digital tool for planning and implementing mounting systems on PV installations on the roof. The tool links directly to Google Maps, making accurate real-time visualization of installation sites and exact module placement possible.

A representative of SL -REK told PV -Magazine That the app supports all types of PV modules and enables users not to manually add it in advance configured. After determining the roof area, the system analyzes the available space and automatically distributes the correct number of modules.

The supplier of the German mounting system said that users can adjust the layout, add or remove modules and select the suitable substructure. The tool then automatically generates a calculation of materials and performs structural analysis.

SL Rack said that SL -Planner Positioning Parameters integrates with technical data to make optimized planning possible from the start and completes the PV system design in less than two minutes, so that a detailed parts list is produced on the basis of static calculations and technical drawings that include ballast, modules and total system weight. It said that exporting results in Excel format, and integrate future versions with wholesale platforms to make automatic data transfer to customers possible.

The tool is available in five languages: German, English, Italian, Spanish and French. It is currently focusing on pitch roofs, with plans to expand support to the 2 flat roof system and SL quickly flat.
