Solarium Green Energy will re-introduce the production of solar module with a fully automated 1 GW production line in Ahmedabad, in the Indian state of Gujarat.

The Solar Solutions supplier on the roof had a 100 MW Polycrystallijne module facility operated, launched in 2018, but was closed after the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) The approved list of models and manufacturers of 19%.

The new 1 GW facility, with an estimated project capital expenditure of INR 700 million ($ 8.2 million) plus the necessary working capital, will be financed with a debt / equity ratio of 3: 1. It is planned to start commercial activities in the fourth quarter of the Fiscal Year 2025-26.

Solarium said that the backward integration is part of its strategy to lower project costs. In engineering, purchasing and construction projects (EPC) projects, solar modules are usually good for 50% to 60% of the total project costs. By setting up an internal production facility, the company wants to reduce the cost volatility of the costs, accelerate the implementation of the project, secure its supply chain and improve margins.

The facility will produce crystalline silicon-zonnemodules using advanced technologies such as tunneloxide-passivated contact (topcon) cells, semi-simmered cells and bifacial cells. Imported Tabber stringers, laminators and solar simulators ensure a high-quality output and efficiency.

“We are pleased to re -introduce the production space and have faith in the synergy that will bring this module production to our supply chain,” said Ankit Garg, chairman and director of Solarium. “There are three important components in a solar factory: solar module, inverter and structure. At 85% plant use, the plant can generate income from more than more than more than more than more than more [INR 10 billion] Every year as modules are sold on the market. With a prisoner consumption of modules, by eliminating external markings, we expect that the gross margin will improve by 5% to 8% in projects where these modules will be used. “

Solarium also comes in the production of structure – one of the three core components of a tanning factory – in the existing facility in Bavla, Gujarat. This step will further improve the implementation options and shorten project time lines. As part of the integrated strategy, Solarium recently announced a collaboration with Wattpower Systems to expand the distribution of high-quality solar converters in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The facility of Ahmedabad is intended to reduce the risks of Supply Chain due to trade disruptions, geopolitical uncertainties and price volatility. Every extra capacity that goes beyond the captivity in captivity will be sold to other EPC players and the B2B segment.

Solarium was founded in 2018 and offers Turnkey Solar Solutions, including design, engineering, purchasing, testing, installation, commissioning and full operation and maintenance (O&M). The company offers solar products such as PV modules, inverters and availability -based rate (ABT) meters. It has carried out more than 65 MW of projects in more than 18,000 houses through an internal sales team and more than 350 channel partners. It also serves commercial, industrial and government customers, with more than 35 MW of roof projects and 30 MW of land mounted projects completed.
