EDP Renewables North America (EDPR) has announced that Bar Harbor Solar, a 999-KW distributed generation project, has achieved commercial activities. Bar Harbor Solar is located in Hancock County and is the second operational solar project of EDPR in Maine.

Bar Harbor Solar offers affordable, clean and reliable power to the Bangor School District, Epstein Properties and more local companies and institutions, so that the resilience of the state and independence of the state is suspended.

“Maine needs reliable energy to provide its communities and its economy, and we are proud to meet that need with innovative, affordable power solutions that support jobs, investments and continuous growth,” said David Kane, Director of Development at EDPR after Distributed Generation. “Bar Harbor Solar is proof of our dedication to Maine’s Energy Future, and we look forward to supplying more cost -saving, tax income -generating electricity infrastructure that serves the residents, communities and companies of the state.”
