H&H Aluminum PVT. Ltd. has opened a new factory in the solar panel frame in India, with an annual production capacity of 24,000 tons.
H&H Aluminum, based in India, has inaugurated an aluminum solar panel frame facility in Chibhda, Gujarat, with a production capacity of 24,000 tons per year. The company said that the site is the largest such factory in India and can support up to 6 GW in annual solar installations.
CR Patil, United States Minister of Jal Shakti, Indian government, has inaugurated the facility. H&H Aluminum said it invested around 1.5 billion ($ 17.5 million) in the factory. The test production started in June 2025, with commercial activities that are expected to start within a month.
“This is the largest and most advanced aluminum frame factory in a single location at a single location and we were able to install it in a record time of about a year,” said Uttam Patel, director at H&H Aluminum. “Currently, India imports 90% to 95% of aluminum solar panel frames. With this factory we are taking a meaningful step in the direction of supporting the make in India initiative and promoting domestic production in the solar energy sector.”
On September 29, 2024, the Indian government imposed an anti-dumping obligation on the import of anodized aluminum frames for solar panels and modules from China. The duty, ranging from $ 403 to $ 577 per ton, or approximately 14%, applies to specified Chinese exporters and all non-specific entities. It remains five years of the date of notification.
“In 2025 India reached a historic milestone of 100 GW Zonne energy capacity. Moreover, the government set an ambitious goal to install 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with a considerable part, about 280 GW, expected from Zonne -Energie,” said Vijay, director of H & H Aluminum. “This is a huge opportunity for solar energy and allied industries in the next five to 10 years.”
H&H Aluminum said that his solar panel frames meet ASTM and IEC international standards for strength, resistance and a long service life. The products are also Rohs and reach in accordance with. The Rajkot factory includes SCADA and IoT-compatible production lines for real-time monitoring and quality control, a fully equipped lab and internal R&D for product adjustment and a zero-liquid drainage paneling setup.
