In addition to large cuts on the incentives of renewable energy in HR1, house republicans work in the credit committee for any support for renewable energy sources in the 2026 Energy and water development and related agencies Financing account.

The bill would reduce Energy’s Energy budget by $ 1.4 billion and reduce the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy programs almost in half to concentrate on technologies that “promote fixed baseload power”. The bill specifically requires no financing for R&D of solar and wind energy.

According to House Credit Committee DemocratsThe bill would withdraw $ 5.1 billion in two -part infrastructure law sources from DIJs programs that support hydrogen, direct aerial rescue, infrastructure of carbon dioxide transport, battery recycling and energy improvements in public schools.

The bill would also cut $ 110 million from the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), which focuses on rapid development of innovative energy technologies. And it would lower the office budget of the loan programs, which recently supported Solar + storage loans for Puerto Rico and a factory in the American solar panel, with $ 20 million.

“Unfortunately, this Republican energy and water bill does not meet the imperative of our nation for the future,” said Energy and Water Development and related agencies Credits Subcommissy Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09) in its opening comments on the bill. “America must become energy-independent forever. This bill cannot tackle the costs of living crisis and, instead, will result in higher energy bills for families and companies. China invests record levels in energy, but this bill withdraws from the American worldwide mana. America.
