Solarcycle has signed supply agreements for almost the entire production capacity of solar glass, before the upcoming glass factory in Cedartown, Georgia, has even started.
Today, the company announced its latest collaboration-a five-year agreement with Illuminate USA for 3 GW of Zonneglas every year. Illuminate joins other American manufacturers Silfab, Runergy, Helieen and more in securing a household glass stock.
“This agreement is a useful signal for the market about the future of solar production in the US,” said SUVI Sharma, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of SolarCycle. “Despite a challenging policy brewers, there is still a considerable market demand for high-quality, inland materials that support the American solar production. We are proud to welcome Illuminate USA as our anchor customer for the first American Solar Glass Factory.”
Solarcycle is a recycler of solar panel with recycling locations throughout the country. Last year the company announced its intentions to start a glass production facility in Georgia that will use some recycled glass in his process. The facility is ready for shovel and Solarcycle is the finishing touches to the remaining investment to start construction. At the beginning of 2028, the company focuses for the first deliveries of Zonneglas.
