The Canadian Perovskite PV technology Startup Solares Enterprises has announced that Sei Energy Technology, the Joint Venture with the Chinese energy technology manufacturer Genesis Technology, has begun to deliver his Perovskite Indoor PV modules to their first customer.

“The modules were sent to a worldwide manufacturer of electronic devices for use in different sensor applications,” the company said in a statement, adding that it is expected to be sent to various other customers of the Sei Energy Factory in the coming quarter.

Solares Enterprises develops a portfolio of lightweight, highly efficient Perovskite PV solutions for Power Internet of Things (IoT) devices, LOW-Power electronic products and energy applications. They are based on the perovskiet technology that is tailored to indoor light absorption with a reported wealth conversion of 35%,

Solares and Sei started working together in 2024. “Our joint production facility with SEI enables us to scale Perovskite PV technology at a pace that meets the growing demand for clean, efficient energy in IoT, Consumer Electronics and Beyond, said Fabian de la Fuente, co-founder and COO of Solares, in a statement.

Solares, founded in 2020, claims that its technology is half the price of conventional indoor PV modules, which generates performance twice and generates 50% less greenhouse gas emissions.

Colleague Canadian Perovskite Solar Startup Wattup Wattbywatt has also recently announced a milestone, in particular a 9 cm2 Tandem PEROVSKIET SILICON ZONCEL with 28% efficiency, made in collaboration with France National Solar Energy Institute (Ines), a division of the French alternative energy management).
