Hitachi completes full acquisition of Eks Energy

Hitachi Energy has the acquisition of the remaining interest in Power Electronics and controls company Eks Energy. Hitachi Energy acquired a majority stake in Eks in 2023.

The integration of the technology of EKS Energy will help Hitachi to expand its electricity conversion and energy storage activities and respond quickly to evolving customer needs.

“As the global market leader in grid automation solutions, the acquisition of Eks Energy strengthens our leadership position, making one of the most extensive solution sport folios of the industry possible that proven converter and control technology combines with the worldwide scale of Hitachi Energy,” said MassieiieiiPextise, said Masselextise, Exerty, Exerty. Management director of Hitachi Energy Grid Automation. “The acquisition promotes our global strategy that ensures continuity for existing customers and at the same time unlocking new opportunities for innovation and growth.”

Power Converters play a crucial role that connects the power source to food, which makes streams and voltage correctly balanced for the demand for end users. They are data-intensive systems and in combination with Hitachi Energy’s Internet of Things (IoT) Connectivity and Energy Behere possibilities, they provide rich insights and analyzes to maximize the reliable energy supply. The completion of the acquisition will enable Hitachi Energy to innovate faster and to improve technology at this critical grid connection point.
