China adds 1,556 new energy storage projects in July with 140 GWH capacity – PV Magazine International

China added 1,556 new energy storage projects in July, a total of nearly 140 GWH capacity, with 1,468 application projects and 88 production initiatives, according to the China’s Energy Storage Application Branch (CESA).

China continued his fast -growing expansion of the energy storage market in July 2025, with 1,556 new storage -related projects submitted for registration, approximately 53.8 GW/139.6 GWH in cumulative capacity, according to the Energy Storage Application Branch (CESA Sour comes. Of these were 1,468 application projects and 88 were related production and production.

The figure of July, 53.8 GW/139.6 GWH new capacity that has been submitted for registration reflects an increase of 164%on an annual basis. Under these, 28 new GWH scale projects were registered, with Inner Mongolia for 12-the largest share.
