Ukrainian private aid DTEK has confirmed the largest battery storage project in the country torn by war and one of the largest in Eastern Europe.
The installation of 200 MW/400 MWh comprises six locations ranging from 20 MW to 50 MW and connected to the power grid in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. DTEK invested € 125 million ($ 146 million) in the project.
The project uses the Gridstack solution from Fluence and is designed to offer sufficiently passable energy to provide 600,000 houses with electricity for two hours.
