Local leaders, community groups and landowners joined the managers of Qcells and Cordelio Power to celebrate the new energetic Winfield Solar Project, a 150 MWAC Facility in the countryside of Lincoln County, Missouri. The project achieved commercial activities last month.
Under a 15-year-old PPA, 100% of the electricity generated by the Winfield project will be delivered to Microsoft, so that the technical leader is helped to keep his growing energy needs with renewable power and other energy sources on the grid for the families and small businesses of Missouri.
The Winfield project was designed and built by Qcells and includes solar modules that are manufactured in the Georgia facility of the company.
At a time when the demand for energy demand increases and the grid for homeowners, companies and farmers is taxed, the 150 MW Clean Energy of the Winfield Project will directly support Microsoft’s activities – reduce the stress on the local grid and present the power of solar energy to deliver reliable, affordable energy where the most needed.
