Utility-scale O&M provider for solar and storage NovaSource Power Services has opened NovaAcademy, a dedicated training center and curriculum designed to accelerate workforce readiness and raise the industry bar in safety, quality and performance.

“Dedicated, passionate and educated people are the foundation of NovaSource. Investing in the development of our team is our shared belief and NovaAcademy is our commitment to our value and journey, through an immersive, hands-on experience led by industry technical experts. We look forward to NovaAcademy’s incredible impact on the growth of our talent team,” said Akshay Sagar, CEO and President of NovaSource.

The NovaAcademy facility, located in Avondale, Arizona, was chosen for its proximity to NovaSource’s headquarters and the ability to house equipment within the facility for realistic, hands-on competency demonstrations. The center is designed as a blueprint that NovaSource can replicate internationally to support global growth.

Built to meet the industry’s growing demand for skilled solar and storage talent, NovaAcademy combines classroom education and hands-on equipment exercises in one place, integrating advanced learning tools such as simulation software and AI-powered tools to enhance learning and provide hands-on experience.

The program reinforces NovaSource’s value proposition to its customers: a highly qualified workforce that puts safety first and is committed to consistently delivering reliable, repeatable and high-quality operations and maintenance results.

“The launch of NovaAcademy reflects our commitment to ensuring we have a well-trained and competent workforce to support our customers’ assets. Our industry-leading curriculum and dedicated training team enable our associates to build skills, grow careers and confidently support our customer needs,” said Danielle Malbrough, Chief People Officer at NovaSource. “To ensure we provide our clients with reliable, repeatable and quality services through a competent workforce, NovaAcademy also enables continued career development through advanced training and formal certifications.”

As NovaAcademy expands NovaSource’s fleet, customers will see tangible value from day one: a no-compromise safety culture, rooted in standardized procedures and occupational hazard protocols. Certified technicians deliver faster, more reliable troubleshooting, reducing mean time to repair (MTTR). All work practices are in accordance with OSHA, NFPA and NERC standards and are supported by audit-ready documentation. As a result, operational risks are reduced, with fewer incidents and less unplanned downtime.
