China-based energy storage manufacturer AlphaESS has released two new all-in-one energy storage systems for the C&I segment. The STORION-H30-G3 and STORION-H50-G3 models integrate a power conversion system, an energy management system, a battery management system and batteries into a single unit.

“Designed to meet the evolving needs of the C&I market, the system combines true all-in-one integration, intelligent battery protection, large capacity, flexible scalability and smart operation and maintenance, providing customers with improved safety, higher efficiency and faster financial returns,” the company said.

On the photovoltaic side, the STORION-H30-G3 model accepts 60 kW DC input and provides 30 kW AC output. The STORION-H50-G3 has a DC input of 75 kW and an AC output of 50 kW. Both models feature four maximum power point trackers with two strings per tracker, achieving a maximum efficiency of 97.8%, a European efficiency of 97.2% and a return efficiency of 92%.

Each system uses lithium iron phosphate battery modules with a nominal capacity of 24.1 kWh. The STORION-H30-G3 rack contains three modules for a total capacity of 72.3 kWh, while the STORION-H50-G3 contains five modules for 120.5 kWh. An optional expansion rack doubles the total capacity to 144.6 kWh and 241 kWh respectively.

“The STORION-H30/H50-G3 supports up to 10 parallel units for 500 kW/2.4 MWh grid-tied projects and four parallel units for 200 kW/964 kWh off-grid applications,” the company added. “With a footprint of less than 1.5 m², the system achieves high energy density and fits seamlessly into applications such as small and medium enterprises, commercial complexes, farms, restaurants and studios.”

Both units are 1.12 meters wide, 1.3 meters deep and 2.05 meters high, and each weigh approximately 1,700 kg. They are rated IP55 for ingress protection and operate at -30 C to 50 C, humidity up to 90% and at altitudes up to 3,000 metres. Optional upgrades include a meter, a parallel backup box, and an expansion battery cabinet.

“The H30/H50-G3 is designed with triple fire protection: smoke and temperature detection, audible/visual alarms and internal aerosol suppression. The cabinet provides 1.5 hours of fire resistance and is certified to UL9540A, ensuring compliance with international safety standards for global C&I projects,” the company concludes. “Equipped with nano-insulation materials in the package, the STORION-H30/H50-G3 provides advanced thermal protection. The smart power distribution enables fault isolation at the ms level, while the BMS supports fast shutdown at the cell level and electrical isolation at the second level. With three-level logic control (system, cluster, pack) and data monitoring at the cell level, the system delivers comprehensive, precise protection.”
