Hungary opens $151 million subsidy scheme for business energy storage – SPE

Hungary’s National Energy Agency has launched a HUF50 billion ($151.34 million) subsidy program for companies to install energy storage systems, including options combined with on-site renewable generation.

Hungary has launched a new subsidy program to support companies installing energy storage facilities, with or without on-site renewable energy.

The National Energy Agency published on November 21 the call for proposals under the Jedlik Ányos Energy Program Modernization Fund, entitled “Supporting Renewable Energy Production and Energy Storage for Businesses.”

Any company operating in Hungary is eligible to apply.
