SolarEdge is working on connecting them commercial solar inverters and power optimizers of battery energy storage systems (BESS) from Socomec to provide customers with a streamlined solar and storage solution. The solution also includes the SolarEdge ONE energy management system (EMS).

As states like California encourage more commercial and industrial (C&I) entities to maximize self-consumption, this new SolarEdge + Socomec solution is ideal for the U.S. C&I market. By reducing traditional three-vendor integration to a simplified two-vendor system, the solution helps developers simplify system design, implementation and compliance, while providing a scalable path to energy resilience and long-term value. The Socomec SUNSYS HES L Skid offers a power range from 50 to 300 kVA and 204 to 612 kWh of energy capacity, delivering flexible scalability for various commercial applications.

“C&I developers have long struggled with the traditional three-vendor model – separate PV, storage and EMS providers – which complicates integration, commissioning and support,” said Marty Rogers, GM of North America at SolarEdge. “We are solving this with a truly integrated solution that reduces system complexity and increases reliability during commissioning and ongoing operations.”

The SolarEdge ONE for C&I EMS intelligently optimizes both PV and storage through a single native platform, allowing projects to maximize on-site solar use and qualify for accelerated interconnection. Capabilities include maximized self-consumption (MSC), peak shaving to reduce demand costs, and time-of-use (ToU) scheduling with non-export and energy export control.

“We are proud to partner with SolarEdge to bring this robust, integrated solution to the C&I market,” said Jérôme Mattern, Head of Sales & BD – ESS NAM at Socomec. “Our shared commitment to simplicity, streamlined operations and long-term performance will help accelerate the commercial adoption of solar plus storage.”
