Beatbot has introduced the iSkim Ultra to the residential pool market, a device that aims to reduce filtration loads by capturing surface debris before it sinks.

The device is powered by a top-mounted 24W solar panel that supports continuous use, supplemented by a 10,000mAh battery for overnight cleaning cycles. For environments with limited sunlight, the system includes a 24W magnetic wireless charging pad.

The hardware is built around a drive system with seven motors and twenty sensors, including tri-ultrasonic sensors and a six-axis IMU, allowing the unit to navigate pool shapes and avoid obstacles. The cleaning mechanism features a 265mm front roller brush that feeds a 9 liter waste basket. Beatbot states that the basket can hold between 400 and 800 leaves, depending on their size.

In addition to physically removing dirt, the device integrates a pump system that delivers a natural clarifier to remove oils and fine particles. This feature is controlled via a mobile app, which also handles manual control and software updates. The iSkim Ultra costs $1,499 and is designed for daily surface maintenance without manual effort.

The autonomous pool skimmer has a filter capacity of 9 liters and can collect approximately 400 to 800 medium-sized leaves before it needs to be emptied. For intelligent navigation, it uses 20 high-perception sensors, including tri-ultrasonic sensors and a 6-axis IMU, allowing it to move accurately and avoid obstacles.

Cleaning efficiency is improved by a 265mm front roller brush, which effectively captures dirt over a wide path. In addition, the system is powered by seven powerful motors.
