RES engaged the O&M for one of the largest solar energy projects in the country

RES has announced that it has been selected by Repsol to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services at one of the largest solar projects in the United States.

The partnership is based on a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation and aims to maximize the performance of Repsol’s 637 MW project.DC Frye Solar facility in Kress, Texas. RES will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, remote monitoring, reporting and vegetation maintenance.

“By partnering with RES on this comprehensive O&M agreement, Repsol Renewables North America will ensure the highest levels of safety, reliability and performance at our largest solar site to date,” said Terry Oswald, VP O&M at RRNA. “Additionally, this agreement will help us meet our obligations to the communities we serve and deliver the clean, sustainable energy to the customers we serve.”

By leveraging the company’s experience across the full life cycle of solar projects, from development, through construction and to long-term operation, RES is uniquely positioned to identify opportunities to improve the performance of the facility in Frye.

“The RES team is extremely grateful for this opportunity to work with such an exceptional organization,” said Stevan Vale, RES senior VP Services in the Americas. “By leveraging our deep knowledge and innovative technologies, we want to unlock the full potential of this groundbreaking project.”

The company’s comprehensive reliability management approach to O&M goes beyond traditional strategies to include diagnostic testing and risk assessment. By systematically assessing and mitigating risk, RES helps asset owners optimize maintenance resources, reduce downtime and maximize revenue generation. Expertise in spare parts management and the use of digital technologies strengthens RES’s ability to quickly identify and address issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing asset performance.

The project is fully in line with the company’s recent investments in its services activities around the world. In March, RES completed the acquisition of Ingeteam’s renewable energy services division, expanding the company’s operations to 24 markets and securing its position as the largest independent renewable energy service provider in the world. The company holds more than 41 GW of O&M and asset management contracts worldwide. RES also recently completed construction of its operations control center at its North American headquarters in Denver, which will serve customers throughout the U.S. market.
