Jones power has been selected by Babcock & Wilcox Solar Energy to perform civil construction work for two 25 MW utility-scale solar projects in Western Pennsylvania. Construction of the projects began in March 2024 and is expected to be completed in summer 2024.

Jones Power’s scope includes all erosion control, clearing, grubbing, construction entrances, culverts, earthworks, stone approaches, stone moorings, final seeding and post-civil site maintenance. B&W has the option for a post-civil maintenance crew from Jones Power to remain on site during piling, erection, electrical and commissioning to provide support services through road maintenance, erosion control, dust control, mowing and more through the successful completion of the project.

“We are excited to take on these challenging projects with B&W Solar,” said John Clark, CEO of Jones Power. “We have built a strong track record in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we are excited to be part of bringing more renewable energy in the form of solar to the residents of Western Pennsylvania.”
