Pine Gate Renewables and Meta have announced the execution of an agreement for the renewable features of a Pine Gate solar project in Temple, Texas. The 204 MW Limewood Bell Solar Project in Bell County is expected to be operational in 2026 and is just seven miles away from Meta’s Temple Data Center. The project is important to Meta’s ongoing commitment to net zero emissions and 100% renewable energy for its global operations.

Pine Gate prioritizes flexibility, proactive communication and transparent development in its partnerships to help major energy customers achieve their sustainability goals. This new agreement builds on an existing partnership between Pine Gate and Meta and is the first between the two entities for renewable features of a solar project in Texas.

“We are excited to partner with Pine Gate to bring this project to the grid in support of our sustainability goals,” said Urvi Parekh, head of renewable energy at Meta. “This project will help us continue our commitment to power all of our operations, including our Temple Data Center, with 100% renewable energy.”
