The managers of the Italian inverter manufacturer Fimer have started a procedure for its sale.

Under Italian law, extraordinary management procedures are used for large insolvent companies to protect assets and employees through continued or converted business activities.

The sales process aims to identify parties interested in submitting binding bids for the unitary and inseparable transfer of the Fimer business complex to a new owner.

“The procedure and requirements are described in detail in the documents on our website, which can be accessed via this website clutch,” a Fimer spokesperson said pv magazine Italy.

The sale includes the company’s property, the factory in Terranuova Bracciolini in the Italian region of Tuscany, machinery and equipment, a warehouse with raw materials and goods, certifications, permits and employment contracts for 266 employees. It also includes other active and passive contracts, movable assets including registered assets, intellectual property rights, know-how, trademarks and patents.

Interested investors have until August 31 to submit bids.

Fimer announced an industrial restart in September 2022 after filing a settlement with creditors at a tribunal in Arezzo, Italy. The company filed a request for creditor protection with the same court in February 2023 and presented its new industrial plan to the tribunal at the end of June 2022.

In July 2023, Fimer said its board of directors had chosen Clementy Group as a strategic partner to acquire the company, pending a decision by the Milan court. However, no further announcements have been made about this operation.
