Atmoce has launched a backup box that allows existing PV systems to gain three-phase emergency power functionality. The device operates independently of the system’s inverter and can be linked to the company’s low-voltage M-ELV battery storage.

During a power outage, the backup box switches from mains to emergency mode in less than 10 milliseconds, providing virtually uninterrupted power to the entire home. The system supplies three-phase power to an entire building.

The system is designed for a charging current of up to 63 amps and integrates load disconnection and mains protection switches to ensure compliant operation. Priority-based charging management enables the selective reduction or deactivation of loads, such as EV wall boxes, to reserve energy for critical home appliances.

The device has IP65 protection for outdoor use and can operate in temperatures down to minus 30°C. It has no fan and weighs about six kilograms.

The M-ELV battery has a capacity of 7 kWh per module, expandable to 126 kWh, with 5 kW scalable discharge power per module. Both the battery and the backup box are compatible with existing PV systems, regardless of the inverter used.
