Private investment company Ardian has concluded a final agreement to take over 100% of the Irish energy company Energia Group from I Squared Capital.Energia Group has been owned by I Squared, an infrastructure investor since 2016, and is active in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Since the start of the solar industry, people have tried to find out how they can make solar panels accessible to low incomes and historically disadvantaged communities. The obvious challenge is the cost barrier, which can at least be partially overcome by subsidies, net metet work programs, lease programs and cheap financing.
