Gridbeyond Energy of the 200 MW energy storage in California

Gridbeyond And Gore Street Energy Storage Fund PLC Have started serving the Big Rock Battery Energy Storage System (Bess) in El Centro, California. Taking Big Rock Live included a large team of more than 20 people who coordinate in several countries and time zones, consisting of data scientists, regulatory analysts and engineers of industrial control.

To guarantee maximum return on investment and grid pact, Gridbeyond was selected to offer trade and optimization services for the Big Rock Bess. Central to the range is the own AI-based bid Optimizer from Gridbeyond, which corresponds to the prognoses of the market price with real-time battery performance simulations to encourage optimum bidding strategies in the CAISO market.

Cool factor: With 200 MW / 400 MWh, Big Rock Bess is the largest active one managed by Gore Street Capital and Gridbeyond. The project will send the current to around 200,000 houses in South California during peak times.

“This is a huge battery system and an important source of resilience against the state of California,” said Sean Mcevoy, president of North America in Gridbeyond. Since the daily CAISO Op/Down regulation is often approximately 500 MW-1,200 MW, this source can provide up to 15-40% of the needs of the regulation services of the state in certain hours. ”

Enbridge Building 600 MW Solar Project to support Meta Platforms Data Center

Enbridge Inc. has reached a final investment decision on Clear Fork, a solar project of 600 MW in Texas. Meta Platforms Inc. has signed a long -term contract for 100% of the renewable output of the project. The estimated project costs of Enbridge are $ 900 million.

Cool factor: The construction is now underway on the solar facility on the utility scale near San Antonio. The facility is expected to be employed in the summer of 2027.

“Clear Fork shows the growing demand for renewable power in North America of Blue chip companies involved in technology and data centers activities,” said Matthew Akman, Executive VP of Corporate Strategy and President of Power at Enbridge. “Enbridge continues to promote the development sport folio of renewable energy sources of world class with the help of our financial strength, supply chain reach and building expertise under a commercial model with a low risk that entails a strong competitive efficiency.”
