First Solar Series 7 panels installed on the Arkansas project by Scenic Hill Solar

Arkansas-based distributed generation (DG) installer. Scenic Hill Solar has announced that it has completed and commenced commercial operation of a 1.2 MW projectDC project that claims to be the first DG project in the world to be used First Solar’s Series 7 TR1 solar panels. The project is located in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and became operational earlier this year.

“We are proud that this project marks the first global commercial deployment of First Solar Series 7 modules. Scenic Hill Solar and First Solar work together based on shared values: a belief in the importance of American solar energy production; a commitment to continued technological innovation in the United States; and a commitment to the principles of Responsible Solar,” said Bill Halter, CEO of Scenic Hill Solar.

Scenic Hill Solar partnered with First Solar and eight other U.S. solar and battery storage equipment manufacturers to create the American Made, Arkansas Built Initiative in 2022. As part of this initiative, Scenic Hill Solar projects are used as sites for collaboration, research and implementation of new U.S. technologies.

“First Solar is proud to work with forward-thinking partners like Scenic Hill Solar, who play a critical role in the growth of solar energy in the great state of Arkansas and beyond,” said Dr. Mounir El Asmar, Head of Strategic Accounts. , First solar energy.

First Solar’s newest solar panel, the Series 7 TR1, is made in America and is suitable for utility-scale projects. This project in Stuttgart uses the Array Technologies Dura Track H2 single-axis tracking system, also made in America. Axium Solar was the EPC and carried out the electrical work itself, DC Solar carried out the mechanical work and PMI was responsible for the civil work.
