Congressman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) has the Termination intermittent law on energy subsidiesLegislation to abolish the production and investment tax credits for wind and solar energy in a responsible manner in the next five years. The legislation is supervised by energy and commerce republicans Gary Palmer (R-Al), Randy Weber (R-TX) and Craig Goldman (R-TX).

“Wind and solar energy are no longer rising technologies, they are adult, market-related and widely used,” Fedorchak said. “By continuing to stimulate these intermittent energy sources through generous tax credits, we distort energy markets and we send the absolute wrong signal to investors. Like all grid operators say we need more shipping means. We have to stop supplying generous stimules that run with it.”

The Termination intermittent law on energy subsidies would:

  • Gasise the production tax credit (PTC) and investment tax (ITC) (ITC) for wind and solar period over a five-year period, 20% per year per year
  • Maintaining incentives for other shipping technologies such as nuclear, hydropower and geothermal
  • Eliminate transferability of these wind and solar tax credits
