Powerplus Energy said the Whisper-7 is a smart hybrid battery system with a 7 kW sun battery inverter and 13.4 kWh of battery storage, specially built for Australian houses.

The Whispr-7 uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and has cell packages from the Chinese manufacturer Catl. It has a nominal DC voltage of 409.6 V, ranging from 320 V to 460.8 V, with a maximum load/discharge flow of 32 A. It has a recommended depth of 95% discharge, an efficiency of 98% and an Ambient operating temperature range of -20 ° C to C.

The system comprises three maximum power point trackers (MPPTs), which support a maximum system voltage of 550 V and a short -circuit current limit of 23 A..

The inverter offers one-phase emergency capacity of the battery and automatically switches to fewer than 20 milliseconds to guarantee an uninterrupted supply.

Powerplus The general director Shane Pollard of Executive said that the Whisp-7 was designed to give households reliable backup power, energy independence and future flexibility without the complexity of traditional setups.

“We have taken what people love our off-grid systems and brought the same thinking to the house,” he said.

The device measures 1,689 mm x 7,640 mm x 210 mm, weighs 174 kg, has a built-in DC isolator and the IP65-rated housing supports outside installation. It comes with a five -year warranty of five years and can supposedly work more than 5,000 cycles.

The Clean Energy Council (CEC) approved the WHUSPR-7 package, the first residential product of a new partnership between Melbourne head office Powerplus and Queensland-based Power Electronics manufacturer Redx.

“Whispr-7 is a natural progression for us,” said Powerplus Executive chairman Ben Spincer. “It brings ours together Off-grid HeritageOur customer-first mindset and the impressive technology from RedX to offer an intelligent, Australian-designed and CEC-raised solution for houses with grid-connected houses. “

Spincer said that the partnership with Redx in Melbourne head office allows Powerplus to quickly scale and deliver more solutions to customers, while they remain focused on sales, service and support.

“We make it easier than ever for Australian families and companies to control their energy, whether they are off-grid or against and at an affordable price,” he said.
