World Green Energy (WGE) today announced that it has signed a Land Sublease agreement with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd. (TSSEZL) For 50 hectares in the Gopalpur Industrial Park in Odisha.
The agreement, signed by Manikaa Naik, director of Tata Steel SEZ LTD, and Srinibash Sahoo, director of World Green Energy, releases the road for the construction of WGEs coming 2GW Topcon Solar Cell and 1.2GW Topcon Solar Module Manufacturing Facility.
“Our upcoming project in Gopalpur will be a cornerstone in the Ecosystem of India in India,” said Srinibash Sahoo, director of World Green Energy. “We are proud that our efforts are tailored to the vision of the Hon’ble Premier for a self -reliant, carbon neutral India in 2047, and we are grateful for the leadership and the support that is extended by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha in enabling this journey and skills and worldwide and worldwide”.
Manikanta Naik, managing director of Tata Steel Sez, added: “We are pleased to work with World Green Energy on this transformative project. Their investment reflects the strategic benefits that Gopalpur Industrial Park offers and strengthens our vision to develop this region into a sustainable, future industrial destination”.
The new facility of World Green Energy will use advanced technologies that are designed to deliver highly efficient solar cells and modules. Once operational, it will reinforce the solar -supply chain of India and position Odisha as an important player in the clean energy transfer of the country.
