The first meeting of the International Academy of Solar Cleansing was recently held in Las Vegas. The group’s first convention brought together industry leaders, solar cleaning professionals and safety advocates to discuss innovations, share knowledge and celebrate excellence within the solar cleaning industry.

The two-day program in November consisted of a mix of keynote speeches, panel discussions, practical demonstrations and health and safety training for cleaning solar panels. A gala awards ceremony culminated the event, honoring individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions to the solar cleaning industry. Notable winners included:

  • Utility Scale Solar Panel Cleaning of the Year: Puerto Rico-based UV Protek received this award for its exceptional work in servicing utility-scale solar installations, a testament to their precision and efficiency.
  • Global Solar Cleaning Contractor of the Year: This award also went to UV Protek, recognizing its rapid growth, unparalleled excellence and leadership on the global stage.
  • Young sun purifier of the year: Awarded to Josh Laine of California-based Solar Shine LLC, in recognition of Josh’s entrepreneurship, willingness to learn and implement both safety and innovation in his thriving solar panel cleaning business.

As the solar industry continues to grow, the ISCA Convention plans to hold future meetings. Plans are already in the works for the next event, which will take place from November 13 to 14, 2025.
