To better support customers and ensure optimal performance of renewable energy systems, SMA America has announced a change to the out-of-warranty claims process. Effective immediately, RISE Renewable Energy will handle all out-of-warranty claims for Sunny Central 125U, Sunny Central 250U, Sunny Central 500U, Sunny Central 500HE-US, Sunny Central CP and Sunny Central 1850-3000 inverters. This transition provides customers with access to a dedicated team for rapid assistance, technical support and streamlined repairs to maintain system efficiency.

Headquartered in California, RISE Renewable Energy specializes in developing, training and supporting photovoltaic professionals and their customers. The company combines practical application with theoretical expertise to provide exceptional service in handling and managing customer claims.

“Partnering with RISE Renewable Energy streamlines the out-of-warranty claims process for our customers,” said Jonathan Cueva, senior manager of large-scale solutions at SMA America. “SMA is committed to providing a seamless customer experience, from project development to ongoing support, and RISE’s technical team ensures this service continues after the sale.”

With RISE managing out-of-warranty claims, the submission process has been streamlined, giving customers multiple flexible options for submitting case details.

How to submit a ticket

When submitting a ticket, it is important to include the following information in the description field or body of the email, as applicable:

  • Inverter model and error codes/nature of the fault
  • Contact name/phone/email address
  • Location name/designation of the inverter
  • Description of the problem
  • Any additional supporting documentation
  • All applicable error data (up to 20 MB) attached. Separate agreements can be made for larger attachments.

Alternatively, you can also call RISE at +1 (213) 267-7473. If no one is available at the time of the call, a ticket will be automatically generated and a callback will be requested.
