VPP software provider Flip Energy announced the launch of his advanced VPP platform in Puerto Rico. The launch, a partnership between Flip and Solis, offers homeowners and technology installers in Puerto Rico a path to register solar and battery storage systems in the island’s response program. Flip is already available in California and has plans to expand in 2025 to extra markets in the US.

The Flip software makes it easy for manufacturers to make their devices VPP compatible via a standardized API platform. The company’s software acts as an intermediary between distributed energy sources, including solar panels, inverters and batteries and electrical utilities. By working together, flip and device manufacturers enable owners of solar and battery systems to maximize the money they earn to export energy to the grid by responding to dynamic demand-response events.

For homeowners, the most important benefits of Flip’s partnership with SOLIS are:

  • Difficult registration: existing SOLIS customers can easily register for the VPP program of Flip by Visiting by Visiting https://solisvpp.comWhile potential customers can contact their local solar installer to find the availability of Solis products for their home. Solar installers who are interested in more information about VPP partnership must reach their local distributor.
  • Improved savings: participants benefit from optimized energy management, which may reduce electricity costs.
  • Energie -fare: By collecting distributed energy sources, the platform strengthens the reliability of the network and supports the communities in switching to a future future of sustainable energy.

“We are very happy to launch our VPP Saas platform in Puerto Rico,” said Ben Larralde, founder of Flip Energy. “We are committed to the powerful of local communities with innovative energy solutions that make cost savings and energy savings possible and our cooperation with the leading technology of Solis underlines this mission.”

VPPs are an ideal solution for owners and technology suppliers of solar and battery systems such as electric utilities around the world to better integrate Ders to tackle the supply, demand and reliability of the grid. Puerto Rico in particular represents an important market, because the electrical use of the island, LUMA, prioritizes distributed energy sources after the decimation of the centralized electric grid infrastructure after Hurricane Maria in 2017.

“The energy landscape of Puerto Rico is ripe for innovation,” said James Qiao, general manager of Solis. “Our collaboration with Flip Energy is an important step to enable homeowners to utilize the full potential of their solar systems. This partnership fits perfectly with our mission to deliver sustainable and efficient energy solutions worldwide. “
