Smart Solar Tracking Solutions provider Trinatracker, a division of China Trina Solarhas set up a production facility of 3 GW in Saudi -Arabia.

The factory will start the activities in the first quarter of this year and will specialize in the production of Trinatracker’s Forefront Series Solar Trackers and Smart Control Systems. A statement from the company adds that the facility will work with zero -containing emissions during the production process.

The company says that its smart solutions for following solar energy are specifically designed to optimize energy generation in challenging weather conditions that are common in Saudi Aarabia and the wider region, such as sand, strong wind and high temperatures.

The new factory is located in the 3rd industrial city in Jeddah and is part of a land lease agreement with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technologyones (Modon).

It is the fourth factory of Trinatracker worldwide and joins existing activities in China, Spain and Brazil.

Vincent Wu, Global Sales Vice President and Mea Mu Head at Trina Solar, said that the factory is a strategic step to promote the localization efforts of the company.

“By improving our local presence, we improve the service options, increasing delivery efficiency and ensure that customers in the region have access to innovative, high-quality solutions for solar energy,” Wu added. “This initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030 by contributing to the country’s efforts to diversify its energy mix, create local jobs and to stimulate growth in the renewable energy sector.”
