Talon PVA new manufacturer of Silicon Solar Cell that is currently under construction in Texas has secured the License for Topconcel Production of First Solar. Talon is planning to create N-Type Topcon sun cells at the 4-GW production site, which is expected to start operations in Q1 2026.

First Solar, who makes Cadmium-Telluride (CDTE) Dunne film solar panels in OHIO, possesses patents with regard to Topcon production of Silicon Solar Cell because of the acquisition of a silicon technology company in 2013. Many worldwide panel production companies continue to continue on the top contempt at the top -patent. This Talon PV/First Solar deal is the first such license agreement that is concluded in the United States.

“We are very happy to work together with First Solar, the American flagship Solar Technology Company, to ensure that we can distinguish ourselves from other cell manufacturers, not only to produce in the United States, but also to our customers the peace of mind To offer that is accompanied by the purchasing cells that do not infringe the intellectual property of other companies, “said Adam Tesanovich, CEO of Talon PV. “Securing this license keeps us on track to produce in the American top con cell cells next year, making the ongoing of a critical component of the crystalline silicon-zon-value chain possible.”

Earlier today, First Solar also announced that it had filed a violation of the patent against Jinkosolar due to supposed use of First Solar’s Topcon patent.

“We have long argued for the development of a diverse, competing American solar industry, and we are delighted to support the efforts of a colleague -American company to produce crystalline silicon solar cells in the US” Counselor and secretary, first solar -energy. “We are encouraged to discover that manufacturers are determined as Talon PV to guarantee their freedom to produce by operating within the framework of the law and to ensure that their products do not infringe our patents. Our decision to permit our intellectual property reflect our willingness to collaborate with companies that respect the law. “
