West – African platform for climate financing is looking for local experts – PV Magazine International

The Western African Alliance for Carbon Markets and Climate Financing (WAA) is looking for experts in the region to support his work in its 17 Member States. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2025.

De WAA wants to hire local experts in West -Africa.

The regional platform, launched in 2017, is intended to promote carbon markets and results-based climate financing in West Africa. The 17 Member States are working on building institutional capacity and supporting networks for long -term involvement in carbon markets and climate financing.

Now in the third implementation phase, with regard to 2024 to 2028, WAA is looking for local experts to collaborate with its partners and secretariat to integrate readyness activities with regard to Article 6 of the Parisian Agreement in national strategies.

The Tender documents Suppose the experts will be hired to support WAA National Stakeholder platforms and land clusters, to prepare reports and resources, to facilitate workshops in the country and to participate in alliance meetings and regional events.

The recruits will be engaged for six months full or part -time, with the option to extend a permanent contract until January 2028 and possibly until July 2028. Applications will be due by 15 April.
