China’s Nea said that the country added 39.47 GW to new solar capacity between January and February, an increase of 7.49% on an annual basis. By the end of February, the total power generation capacity of the country reached 3.4 TW, an increase of 14.5% compared to a year earlier. The solar capacity grew by 42.9% year after year to 930 GW, while wind energy grew by 17.6% to 530 GW. Investments in current generation projects due to large utilities amounted to a total of CNY 75.3 billion ($ 10.4 billion), a modest increase of 0.2%, while investments in grid infrastructure rose 33.5% to CNY 43.6 billion.

The China Non -Ferrous Metal Industry Association (CNMIA) has reported continuous price increases for silicon waffles, with the most important profit in G12R waffles. The average transaction price for N-type G12R monocrystalline waffles (182 mm x 210 mm, 130 μm) rose 1.45% week on week to CNY 1.40 each. G12 waffles (210 mm x 210 mm, 150 urn) remained stable at CNY 1.55 each, while G10L waffles (182 mm x 183.75 mm, 130 urn) kept stable at CNY 1.19 each. Leading manufacturers showed a strong price force for G12R waffles. The use of the industry rose to 55% to 58%, an increase of 3-5 percentage points compared to the previous week. Two large manufacturers increased usage percentages to 56% and 60%, while integrated producers rates between 60% and 80%. In the meantime, the prices of solar cells continued to rise as a result of a shortage of G12R cells, with offers that reached CNY 0.32/W to 0.35/W, an increase in CNY 0.25/W to 0.27/W. Module prices rose, with distributed solar modules quoted on CNY 0.74/W to 0.76/W, some reach CNY 0.80/W. The prizes of G12R Wafel are expected to exceed the predictions at the beginning of April.

State network of China has started building the 1,000 kV Datong-Huailai-tianjin South Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) AC-transmission project. De Lijn will stretch 770 km from Datong in the province of Shanxi to the new Binhai area in Tianjin, by the Yanshan Mountains and the river basin of the Haihe in the province of Hebei. The project includes four new substations and the expansion of the Tianjin South Substation, which adds 18 GVA of transmission capacity. Approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in September 2024, the project will be set for completion in June 2027. Once operational, the 8 GW of wind and solar energy will transfer Shanxi and Hebei, which provides more than 14.6 two -held electricity, to replace Co2 Coal and the reduction of 4,45 million tonnes of the entering, entering the number per year.

Tongue Said that three silicon metal ovens in the 180,000 tons of silicon metal project in Guangyuan, the province of Sichuan, started the test production successfully. The facility, supported by an investment of CNY 5.8 billion, is expected to reach full operation by May. The project marks the expansion of tongue to power -growing production of silicon metals to secure the raw material supply for its polys silicon company. The company also showed that an expansion of the second phase, aimed at 200,000 tonnes of annual capacity, undergoes approval of the environment, with a definitive investment decision pending market conditions and availability of resources.
