PV -hardware (PVH) has released PVH Terra, a Foundation system that is designed to improve the installation of Zonnetabriek on challenging site. The system is intended to improve the stability in expansive soil, areas affected by frost and locations with poor geotechnical conditions, while the costs and the impact of the environment are reduced.

PV-hardware (PVH), a Spanish manufacturer of solar inspections and structures for PV plants and part of the Gransolar Group, has launched PVH Terra, a basic system designed to tackle challenges set by difficult terrain in large-scale solar installations.

The system optimizes the installation and performance of tanning factories on expansive soil, areas affected by frost with poor geotechnical properties. PVH claims that the technology adapts to these unfavorable circumstances and at the same time lowers the costs and the environment impact.

The new system reportedly reduces the driving depth by a maximum of 70%, with its symmetrical design that makes accurate placement possible and minimizes challenges of underground obstacles. PVH also notes that the use of perpendicular screws improves the installation efficiency in the sloping or uneven site, so that the potential for projects in rather unfeasible locations is widened and in some cases reduces the need for concrete.

“This breakthrough marks a new milestone in the possibility of developing solar projects on land that have set considerable technical and economic limitations so far,” the company said.
