Izpitek unveils products to transform inert surfaces into PV systems – PV Magazine International

IZPITEK launches a new product line with patented technology to reduce PV cells in composites, which reduces the weight by a maximum of 95%.

Izpitek, a joint venture between the Spanish engineering firm Branka Solutions and the Tecnalia technology center, said that it will be on the market with products made with the help of a patented technology that directly in compound materials.

The technology makes the production of 2D, 3D and flexible PV solutions possible with the help of advanced composites that offer high strength and formability in the end product.

“In contrast to the sandwich format of the traditional panel, this solution facilitates architectural integration; because it is a monolithic panel, it prevents delamination,” said Xabier Sabalza, director of Izpitek, said PV -Magazine.

Sabalza added that the wide range of mechanical properties of the material makes it possible to be implemented in a wide variety of solutions. “It is the only directly bent or double -curved rigid panel on the market,” said Sabalza.

The solution ensures a weight reduction from 70% to 95%, with a ratio of 0.5 to 3 kg per m², because the panels are thin, ranging from 0.4 mm to multiple mm thick.

The company noted that the 24%-efficient Maxeon technology and bifacial Perc M10HC uses in this solution, with power outputs up to 450 W.

“We are currently carrying out validation tests with Topcon technology, because our solution is cell-dependent, so that it can adapt to regular market technology,” said Sabalza.

The size of the solution is adjustable to a maximum of 2,500 mm x 1,300 mm, as well as cell density, to achieve adapted aesthetic finishes.

The company claims that this photovoltaic material is more resistant than polymer, able to absorb energy and expel effects or corrosion.

The new products are available in three versions: Izpisheet, Izpishell and Izpicific. The photovoltaic film from Izpisheet “puts each surface of a third -party product into a photovoltaic surface, simply by adding a thin outer layer of composite material,” Sabalza said.

The product is aimed at original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of street furniture, vehicles and stakeholders who are interested in integrated solutions for glass, facades, balconies and roofs, including elements. Izpitek said that the Izpishell -line -line will offer versatile, lightweight independent solutions, while Izpicificis PV solutions for adapted projects would develop.

The company focuses on three markets that require unconventional integrated panels: buildings (BIPV), urban furniture and sustainable mobility. According to Sabalza, the panels can be adjusted to any shape and color, including translucent bifacial, full black and colored options. He added that the PV film can be applied afterwards to the product in existing solutions.
